It is reported that China's iron ore market has slipped further due to the comparatively soft demand. At present, the price for the iron ore concentrate (wet basis) with Fe content of 66% Tangshan region is approximately 1030 to 1040 yuan per t, dipping by 60 yuan per t. After the notable price drops for construction steel and billet, the iron ore concentrate prices in east China have declined softly but the price in central China are still unchanged from previous time.
Meanwhile, the price for imported iron ore also has shown downward trend owing to the constant price dips of the international billets and spot materials. Consequently, traders' mentalities towards the future market have begun to exacerbate. Thereby the international iron ore market may continue softening in the short run.
